Enclomiphene Citrate
Enclomiphene Citrate is a Selective Estrogen Modulator (SERM). It works by binding to estrogen receptors in numerous tissues throughout males and females. Notably in males it is antagonistic to the estrogen receptors of the hypothalamus, pituitary. This antagonism opposes the negative feedback of estrogens on the HPTA and causes a release of the gonadotrophins LH and follicle FSH. The increase in LH and FSH is known to increase testosterone production in hypogonadal men.
Experimentation with anabolic substances results in a decrease in endogenous testosterone production in the research subjects, use of Enclomiphene Citrate has been shown to restore natural testosterone production after relatively short periods of time.
Enclomiphene use allows for the maintenance of the gains in muscle mass that occurred while experimenting with anabolic substances such as steroids and for this reason enclomiphene is regularly used as a post cycle therapy (PCT).
